Official Contest Rules

The purpose of the Clever Crazes for Kids Contests (the “Contests”) is to educate children in grades K-8 about the interconnected web of wellness – healthy planet, healthy relationships, and healthy individuals, acknowledging that strong minds are built on healthy and energetic bodies and about how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is integrated into their everyday lives. Over the past year, over a thousand STEM facts, questions, answers and quizzes have been added to enhance the value of the educational materials on our website. Our thanks to our Partners in Education, University of Cincinnati, School of Education for providing these educational materials. No products or services are sold on this website and no purchase is necessary to participate or win.

Contests

The Contests are:
(1) The “Over-All” site “Quizzes” and “Games” found in the nine (9) areas of focus we call “Worlds”: You the Athlete, You and Biodiversity, You and Our Home Planet, You and Your Insides, You and Your Money, You in Outer Space, You the Future Voter, You the Time Traveler and You and How Things Work.
(2) The “Step It Up and Kickstart Your Brain” Fitness Challenge found in the “Kimmie in the Gymmie” segment in the You the Athlete World.

Registration information may be submitted at any time during a Contest Segment discussed below under Prizes. To compete for weekly prizes each student must follow all online instructions to score points for the student’s school by answering the educational questions on the “Over-all” contest site containing the “Quizzes” and “Games” found in the nine (9) Worlds: You the Athlete, You and Biodiversity, You and Our Home Planet, You and Your Insides, You and Your Money, You in Outer Space, You the Time Traveler, You the Future Voter, and You and How Things Work. To compete for monthly “Step It Up and Kickstart Your Brain” Fitness Challenge prizes, each kid must follow all online instructions to perform the exercises and record their reps accurately. Participants are subject to all notices for the Contests posted on the Contest Sites, including, but not limited to, the Privacy Policy. Online entries made with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or through the use of any other device or artifice to enter a student multiple times will be deemed invalid. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently disqualify any person from the Contest if he/she has violated these Official Rules.

“Step It Up and Kickstart Your Brain” Fitness Challenge

For eligibility purposes on the “Step It Up and Kickstart Your Brain” Fitness Challenge, our professional trainer has outlined what she considers to be a reasonable number of repetitions (reps) per exercise, per grade. If a student enters more than 50% over the reasonable number of reps, the Ethics Pledge reminder will appear, asking the student if the number of reps is correct. At that point, the student has the option to correct the number previously entered. If a student enters an unreasonable number of reps for an exercise (more than 50% over the number of reps defined as reasonable by our professional trainer) that is not corrected by the student immediately after entry, those reps will not be recorded for the current contest period.

If a student enters what is considered to be a reasonable number of reps more that two times per day on any given exercise, those subsequent reps will not be recorded in the “Step It Up and Kickstart Your Brain” Fitness Challenge for the current contest period.

The above rules are in effect because it is our mission to encourage kids, their families and friends to live a healthy lifestyle, which includes an appropriate amount of daily exercise. We also are dedicated to encouraging the concept of “ethics” (honesty) from an early age.

As parents, teachers and adults in positions of responsibility we hope you will join us by encouraging your kids to exercise, have fun and play fairly by entering their accurate number of reps.
