University of Cincinnati School of Education
The School of Education at the University of Cincinnati is proud to be the educational partner of Clever Crazes for Kids.
Together, we bring to homes and classrooms everywhere new and exciting ways to engage kids in learning. To make academics fun for kids, we use a wide variety of tools including animation, challenging quizzes with educational interactive activities and games to cover our nine areas of focus that we call “Worlds.” Our curriculum, lesson plans and content are aligned with the national Common Core Curriculum State Standards Initiative. We encourage you to see our section “State Standards.” Overlaying the national standards, we also incorporate content presenting the importance of physical fitness, healthy eating habits, positive self-esteem and a heightened awareness of an individual’s responsibility to ‘be green’. All of these ideas are part of the interconnected web of wellness—healthy planet, healthy relationships, and healthy individuals—that make us all strong. And strong minds are built on healthy and energetic bodies!
Recent research points to the multiple benefits of pairing learning with games, the approach children experience when using Clever Crazes for Kids. The opportunity to earn points toward real rewards for their school provides an extra motivation and promotes social responsibility.
Together with Clever Crazes for Kids, the UC School of Education introduces standards-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) content.
Clever Crazes will introduce students to facts and concepts that are consistent with the standards endorsed by the National Science Educators Association as well as the American Association for the Advancement of Science STEM Benchmarks, making the Clever Crazes for Kids website a perfect supplement for K – 8.
The School of Education is part of the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services at UC. The College is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Our students and faculty work side-by-side with teachers, athletic trainers, community wellness experts, intervention specialists, and law enforcement officials because we value experiential learning as an important element in our coursework and degree programs. Current research in these areas is incorporated into every course to ensure our graduates are prepared to address the most urgent challenges of our society.
